Evelyn Elgie

Evelyn is an artist, writer, and editor living on the unceded territories of the Coast Salish peoples. After earning a Double Honours degree in Creative Writing and Contemporary Studies from the University of King’s College in Halifax, Nova Scotia, they moved to Vancouver to earn their MA in Gender, Sexuality, Race, and Social Justice at UBC. As if this wasn’t enough schooling to be getting on with, they hopped streams into the Master of Publishing program at SFU. They now work in the editorial department at New Society Publishers.
Evelyn’s first book of poetry was published by Penrose Press. They sell their salvaged art locally and online as Heliotrope Design.

Larissa Piva

Larissa is a queer artist and writer living on the traditional unceded territories of the Quw’utsun peoples. She has a Double BA from UVic and an MFA from UBC, with professional experience in content writing and co-founding Eavesdrop Magazine; she currently works as a grant writer for a local charity. Her writing explores how internal conflict impacts navigating complex love and relationships. She enjoys creating bold characters and multi-perspective stories, especially for young adults. Larissa’s visual art has been displayed by the Craft Council of BC, the Cowichan Valley Arts Council, the East Side Arts Society, Rainforest Arts, and more. When she isn’t working on her crafts, you can find her snacking with her wife, singing out of tune to her tomato plants, and admiring the holes her little pup manages to dig. Claire Miller-Harder

Claire Miller-Harder is a writer and MFA recipient from the University of British Columbia. Her writing has appeared in The Capilano Review, Room and filling Station, and her poem “Dishwashing” is cited among Notable Poems in Best Canadian Poetry 2020. Working in many forms and genres, her writing explores themes of belonging, spirituality, and grief through a queer, feminist lens.

Lena (she/they) is an interdisciplinary artist focusing on poetry, photography, stand-up comedy, and music. Her poetry weaves humour and vulnerability together, touching on themes of adhd, queerness, disability, and love. Their writing can be found in Plenitude, Eavesdrop, and Sea and Cedar Magazine. They can be found around Vancouver Island telling jokes in the basements and/or rafters of microbreweries, taking photos by the ocean, and writing poetry and songs.
