Image Description: The artwork features two mannequin-like women embracing each other in a kiss, their forms are almost lifeless yet intimate. Both women have long, dramatic eyelashes. The colour palette is dominated by soft shades of pink, red, and blue.
Artist statement: I primarily work in digital/mixed media mediums for the most creative liberty and freedom. I am inspired by music and its creators. I listen to all types of music from hip-hop to country. It keeps me open-minded and open to experiences outside my comfort zone. This comfort anywhere allows my practice to be as open as possible and for me to be a receptive person.
Amani Cohen is an illustrator and graphic designer specializing in digital art while enjoying traditional mediums. Currently studying Graphic Design at Humber Polytechnic, Amani’s work has been showcased in Peel virtual art gallery shows, Eavesdrop Magazine, Beautiful Trash for Beautiful People, and PAMA. They are always seeking out new opportunities and experiences to enrich their artistic practice.
